Riding waves since 1966
Outrigger Trading Co first came to life in 1966, tucked into the growing suburb of Forest Hill. Back then it was a small jean shop with big personality — the kind of place locals drifted into after school, surfers stopped by on their way to the coast, and teenagers saved up their pay just to grab a pair of the latest denim. It wasn’t just a store, it was a little icon of the era: timber racks, salty‑air vibes, and a name that felt like summer even in the middle of winter.
The doors eventually closed some years later, but the story didn’t end there. In 2025, the founder’s grandson — carrying the same spark, the same love for surf culture, and the same family pride — brought Outrigger Trading Co back to life. This time, the shelves weren’t stacked with jeans alone, but with fresh local surf wear, beach‑ready gear, and a revived spirit that honoured the original shop while riding a whole new wave. The Outrigger name is back where it belongs: part of the community, part of the coastline, and part of a legacy that refuses to fade.
